News and notes from around the interweb:
- 50% bonus on transfers from Chase to Marriott through December 24. Even with this bonus Marriott transfers are poor value. They’ve been running transfer bonuses quite often, a 45% bonus just ended December 8th. I value Marriott points at 60 basis points, a 50% transfer bonus gives you $0.009 in value per point. Hard pass. (Chase already bought these points a year and a half ago.)
- United is bringing back kosher meals to all international flights and all 2000+ mile domestic flights.
- When a plane’s tire burst, passengers got out and pushed.

- Denver airport to boost cost of terminal renovation from $770 million to $1.9 billion “DIA-produced summaries of the proposed contract amendments, which were submitted to the council, reveal a gargantuan scope that’s well beyond anything discussed publicly — until now.”
- Chase will offer early access to paychecks for direct deposit customers, a grace period to avoid overdraft fees
Chase was responding to the competition…..
Ain’t that a hot blip. When do you hear about passengers going outside an airplane and helping to push a plane that has a “flat tiya?”
