Free Instant Accor Platinum Status is Back

It was around earlier this month, but that offer was pulled rather quickly.

Now it’s back, just sign up for Le Club Accorhotels using this link and your account should start with Platinum (top tier) status.

And while we’re at it, here’s another signup link as well (just use Google translate).

Even if you don’t frequently stay at Sofitel, Novotel, Pullman, Mercure, and other related properties frequently, you never know when you might find yourself in one and having top tier status can’t hurt.

Platinum status usually requires 60 nights or 25,000 points earned. It offers double points and at Sofitel, Pullman and MGallery hotels a complimentary drink and welcome gift, and subject to availability and on request 4pm late checkout and an upgrade.

They’ll only let you sign up for one account per email address, so if opening a new account use a new email address. Some then combine their old and new accounts to preserve their points while elevating themselves to the new status.

The program isn’t among the more rewarding, but given that it’s top tier it can also be useful for status matching to other hotel programs. A status match offer like Best Western generally has can be obtained without demonstrated stay activity attached to the top tier elite account.

  1. Thanks Gary!

Do Accor usually mail out status cards, and if so how long does it normally take?

  2. FYI on the value of Accor’s program:
while not the most fruitful of loyalty programs, it’s fairly easy and straightforward. You need to book through the company’s site for a stay to count for points, and you need to have at least one eligible stay each year (12 months of membership) to keep your account active. No points mall or anything to refresh an account with.
When you hit a certain points threshhold, instead of redeeming points for an award night, they mail you a US$60 or equivalent voucher in euros, which you can use at checkout on your next stay.
Accor hotels are fairly few and pricey in the US, but in EU and South America the chain is huge and widespread, with multiple brands that vary in price. This Platinum status is valuable mainly because it’ll get you a strong bonus of points on a paid stay. There aren’t many in-house freebies you will receive with this status.

  3. I have Plat status with Accor and it wasn’t even recognized during my last stay at a Mercure hotel in Germany, even after I brought it to their attention…

  4. Apparently it’s not my day. After failing to receive the 1,000 miles from BMI, wasn’t able to receive the elite status on Accor as well. Kept getting a message that the promo is no longer activated.

  5. The great value it had for me is that I was able troublr free to status match to Clubcarlson gold, which serves me greatly! especially there 2 nights for 1 in europe:)

  6. This link is working again from 2 days ago.
