Hotel booking website TravelPony offers new members a $25 first-time booking credit, but ups that to $35 if you’re referred by an existing member.
That credit is currently stackable with promotion code KATE50 which provides $50 off of a $200 reservation (and it seems to work even when you reach $200 total only inclusive of tax).
So you can currently save $85 on a $200 booking, which is 42.5% off.
They’ve got some great rates, sometimes, especially on higher-end properties and especially hotels that are part of smaller chains.
Loyalty Traveler finds that TravelPony’s rates can be good but are sometimes higher than the best rates you might otherwise find. So they’re not a slam dunk all the time, outside of when you’re able to use discount codes they’re offering.
This is my referral link, you’re better off signing up by being referred by an existing member. You’re also welcome to leave your own referral link in the comments, that others might use.
And if you want to use the discount more than once, have family members sign up. If you travel with a significant other or spouse that’s a built-in second go.

Hey Gary,
Does Hyatt allow you to use a third party site like this and at the same time claim elite qualifying nights? Hyatt isnt allowing a BRG because the site requires an albeit simple signup procedure.
I have to say that I’m taken aback by the pricing of TravelPony. I did a dummy search for tonight and the Hilton Times Square came up at $113 while on the Hilton website it showed up as no available rooms for tonight. Not a lot of choices to work with but definitely a good site to keep in mind especially for last minute stays.

I’m assuming that when the credit card is charged, the vendor is “Travel Pony”. Can anyone confirm this? I have a newly-opened Reserve card I was planning on using for a stay in April and getting the $100 credit, but it will only work if the vendor is “Hilton”.
(And btw, here’s my link if anyone wants to use it: http://www.travelpony.com/?rc=e9h7. Thanks!)
