Final Day for 50,000 Signup Bonus for the No Fee Hilton Visa

Citi® Hilton HHonorsTM Visa Signature® Card

  • 50,000 points after spending $1,000 in the first four months
  • $50 statement credit after you spend $50 or more on your first hotel stay within the Hilton HHonors Portfolio during the first six months of cardmembership

This is the best offer for the no annual fee Hilton card that I’ve seen and it expires tomorrow.

This free card gives you free Hilton Silver status. Better to walk into Hilton as a silver than as a base member. First, because of the bonus points and in some cases free bottled water. But second and more importantly is that it serves as a reason not to be given the worst room on property, the one above the HVAC system or overlooking construction. That’s not a guarantee, but it helps.

It also entitles you to 5th night free on standard room awards, a benefit that only applies to Hilton elite members (silver status qualifies).

This no-fee card is useful to have for the bonus, and to be eligible for fifth night free on standard room redemptions.

  1. Any idea what time of day these typically go offline? I’m waiting for a payment from the 15th to post to my Experian report…

  2. Does anyone know how long the bonus takes to post? I received the card a while back and met the spending requirement. But it’s two weeks after that statement closed and I still don’t have the bonus.

  3. @Colin-Make sure Citi didn’t open a new Hilton account. With Citi, if you are approved you get the points. Those points should have posted by now. What does your statement say?

  4. @Colin I was just looking at the application and it says it takes 4-6 weeks after meeting the spending requirement to get the bonus points.

  5. Bill, that’s exactly what happened. I never would have thought of that. Thanks for your help!

  6. This has turned into quite the mess. It took me two phone calls to find out the Hilton HHonors account number that Citi created for me, then another to get my login information. During the course of that call I learned that the bonus points Citi said it posted in this new account back in early March have not in fact posted, so now Hilton has opened up a missing points investigation.
