Man Jumps Fence at LAX, Sets off Landing Gear Fire Extinguisher on Southwest 737
Last night a man scaled a fence at LAX, ran up to a Southwest Airlines plane that was preparing to depart, and set off a landing gear fire extinguisher on the Boeing 737.
The man ran back toward the fence he had come in over. He was arrested “with the help of a police dog” who apparently also bit him.
Tomorrow the Price to Purchase Wyndham Points Goes Up
Today you can buy Wyndham Rewards points at a cost of $11 per 1000 (so 1.1 cents per point). They limit you to purchasing just 5000 points per year.
Starting tomorrow they’re increasing the amount of points you can buy to 10,000 but also raising the price to $13 per 1000 (1.3 cents per point).
Trump’s EPA Administrator: Flying Coach Would Risk My Life
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt flies Delta even when the government has a contract fare with another airline and flies first class due to ‘exceptional security circumstances’. His government travel forms claim coach would be unsafe for him. And as a result he has no problem meeting minimum spend requirements for Delta SkyMiles elite status.
Southwest Runs Out of De-Icing Fluid, Cancels 220 Flights in Chicago
Southwest Airlines was founded in Texas but its single biggest airport operation is at Chicago Midway. However they forgot that Chicago gets cold, and they ran out of de-icing fluid yesterday having to cancel the rest of the day’s flights — 220 in total.

Why I Don’t Want to Fly American Airlines to LaGuardia
The problem that American faces at LaGuardia — and this hampers all of their shuttle flights, not just Chicago — is that their operations are now consolidated out of the Central Terminal (also known as ‘Terminal B’). And while construction at the airport has been a disaster all around, nowhere more so than for passengers at the Central Terminal. Possible Midair Collision On Takeoff From Moscow, All Passengers Believed Dead
May the 65 passengers and 6 crew onboard Saratov Airlines flight 6W-703 operating a domestic flight from Moscow Domodedovo to Orsk rest in peace.
The Antonov 148, registration RA-61704, reportedly collided with a helicopter at around 6000 feet. However reporting on the crash appears to be inferred from video and has not been confirmed.
