- Travel is Free made a really handy award chart for American AAdvantage post-March 22 devaluation, the traditional ‘grid’ chart so you don’t have to look up each region one-by-one.
- Groupon class action settlement get money if you bought a groupon between 2008 and 2011, didn’t use it, and didn’t get it refunded.
- After ending its interline ticketing and baggage agreement with Emirates, Delta has gone ahead and ended agreements with Air China, Hainan Airlines, Shandong Airlines and Sichuan Airlines.
“The carrier wants to strengthen its partnership with China Eastern” the most subsidized Chinese airline in which it’s investing $450 million. Biggest losers are Delta’s customers who will no longer be re-accommodated on these airlines in the event of irregular operations.
- Hyatt to launch temple lodging services in Kyoto
- A herd of about 30 wild boars ran across the runway at Jabalpur airport in India. The pilot of an arriving SpiceJet Q400 lost control of the aircraft and went off the runway. No passengers or crew were injured. Seven boar died.
- Forced authorization attacks on Chip and PIN credit card terminals

I just realized that flights in business class to/from the US and the Caribbean are going down by 5,000 miles. Any idea whether an award booked at the old rate for travel after March 21 will be able to be repriced at the new level when the new prices go into effect?
@andrew – repricing would require at a minimum a change fee for re-issue (unless you’re executive platinum).
