Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson isn’t just known for heavy metal. He invested in building the world’s largest aircraft and setting up Air Djibouti.
Dickinson is also a pilot, and is rated to fly a 747. He’s piloting the band’s 35 country tour supporting their Book of Souls album.
The aircraft is “Ed Force One” named for band mascot Eddie who has appeared on each of the band’s album covers.
Not to be confused with legendary music producer, THE Bruce Dickinson
That is totally freakin awesome!
I was on a charter flight to Africa a few years back (with the now defunct Astaeus Airlines) and discovered, upon landing, that Bruce Dickinson had flown us over. I got quite a surprise as he emerged from the cockpit as we were filing out 🙂
@Ziggy – Bruce flies under his real name (which isn’t Bruce – that’s his middle name) so not many people twig on that he’s the captain unless they actually see him and recognise him. He is a real character though – I’ve had a number of interesting adventures with him over the years.
Absolutely no details about the damage with the tug.
We would like an answer, that’s no way to run a website!
What about any damage from the tug? That’s no way to run a website!
