500 US Airways Miles for Downloading ‘StoreFront Assistant’

Back when FreeCause ran the Dividend Miles mall there was a ‘toolbar’ you could download which would automatically cause you to earn US Airways miles when shopping at a participating merchant, and they also gave you a handful of miles for internet searches.

US Airways changed companies administering their mall, they now use Cartera Commerce which runs the American and Delta malls for instance.

Cartera has introduced a similar tool and they will give you 500 miles for downloading it and using it once (such as doing just one internet search with it). You can of course uninstall it afterward.

Here’s the FAQ for the StoreFront Assistant.

  1. @Gary – ya think i may be a good idea to wait on this one to see if it counts as a GS hit soon? I know nothing but just think’in out loud. – René

  2. @Delta Points – I don’t see the offer being pulled right away so can’t hurt though it might wind up just being an easily replicable storefront transaction

  3. Cartera, eh?

While giving 500 bonus points is nice, actually receiving them (without having to keep after Cartera) will be even better!

  4. Grand Slam promotion… last couple of years with US Airways you can earn 100k miles with 40 hits.

  5. Potential 500 points from Cartera? NOT worth the hassle. Expect to send a half dozen or more claims and emails in order to get these points.

  6. Has anyone actually been able to download the toolbar? I’ve tried and each time, it just keeps throwing me in a loop.

I try to login, and it asks for my Dividend Miles number and last name. Then it tells me I need to log in to my Barclay card, and click on RewardBoost, which takes me back to the StoreFront. At that point, my MC should automatically be registered. However, once I land back on the StoreFront page, I’m still not logged in, and still unable to download anything.

Anyone able to experience anything different?

  7. Not only am I not logged in, there’s no option to download the Toolbar. Anyone have success? Something isn’t right with their site.

  8. @Devon,

I see the link – it’s on the main page of the storefront. However, I can’t install it on my Mac, as it’s telling me that the program is from an untrusted publisher… Do Macs know more about Cartera than the rest of us??
