• Skift asks why we won’t tax workers more in the future in order to give their money to hotel owners now? Cameron Sperance says hotel owners are “getting the shaft” by not being bailed out, even though some hotel ownership groups did pick up Payroll Protection money (which is all smaller businesses had access to), and suggests upping “the ante on lobbying” to get “a bigger piece of the pie.”

• Check whether any of your Marriott award reservations in the next seven weeks have gotten less expensive. This is what I like to see:

• FedEx flies from San Diego to Tijuana who knew that they used a plane and not trucks.

• At $2 million per job, Amtrak’s bailout demand makes the airlines look like a bunch of pikers. This is ‘also for infrastructure spending’ but like the airlines they’ve learned to ask for what they want under the fig leaf of jobs.
