News and notes from around the interweb:
- Australian Open players in quarantine accused of feeding mice in their hotel rooms because what else do you do when you’re in quarantine? And shouldn’t the real headline be guests accuse quarantine hotel of being infested with mice?

- Spain expects to begin rebooting tourism in April so folks can once again have their pockets picked on Las Ramblas.
- Marine Corps books all 966 rooms at Hyatt Regency in downtown Jacksonville for five months.
- The company that ran the Frontier Airlines status match campaign has acquired the statusmatch.com domain name .. a sign that airline competition for people who have been the best customers in the past will become intense. It took 7-years of negotiation and a crazy amount of money but finally, we own the https://t.co/j31TkJb5lt business. Maybe I wasn't ready to own it all those years ago but now is absolutely the right time. Big things to come. https://t.co/YpdNe9ZUj5

- Airlines are really loyalty programs that own planes, and just don’t realize it In a world where the three largest airlines have borrowed over $23 billion against their frequent flyer programs this year, without even pre-selling miles, that’s not even a super-controversial claim.
The entire foundation of an airline is built around repeat customers, around brand loyalty, and around maximizing ticket yield. AIRLINES DON’T HAVE A LOYALTY PROGRAM. THE AIRLINE LOYALTY PROGRAM….. HAS AN AIRLINE!
- Now that Norwegian has announced the liquidation of its long haul operations, it’s on track for a second government bailout Everyone U.S. airline got one in the supposedly capitalist United States, so why not?
