- More details on the passenger breastfeeding a cat, from a flight attendant on board
- That’s one way to put it.
Dulles airport—the worst—has an aesthetic that feels inspired by Giedi Prime, the homeworld of the evil House Harkonnen in Dune.

- American Airlines will sell Flagship lounge access as well as access to Admirals Clubs. You can now pay in miles instead of money, but you’ll get just one cent per point in value.
New from @americanair: You can now redeem AAdvantage miles for lounge day passes (both the regular club and Flagship Lounge).
But at a rate of 1 cent/mile, I'm not a buyer. pic.twitter.com/mGvzdUYMmu

- Two passengers tried to fly to Germany with 309 cockroaches, tarantulas and scorpions (HT: Paul H.)
Airport police in Colombia thwarted a pair’s attempt to leave the country with hundreds of unauthorized critters. Late last week, government officials reported that the travelers were stopped with over 300 tarantulas, scorpions, and giant cockroaches stuffed into their luggage as they were preparing to fly back to Germany, apparently without any of the needed paperwork to do so. The bugs have reportedly been taken to a government center for trafficked or illegally owned wild animals, where they’ll be evaluated before either being relocated or released back into the wild.
According to Colombia’s Ministry of Environment, the alleged smuggling attempt was stopped last minute at the El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá. Airport authorities said they flagged suspicious cargo in the luggage of two German citizens as they were about to board a flight back home. When they looked closer, they unearthed 210 plastic containers and tubs containing a menagerie of creepy-crawlies. They then called on environment ministry officials to help identify the animals.
Strange people out there…..
You are better than this Gary
Stop picking on Gary, if it’s true, it’s news and he’s just reporting it..and you are HERE reading it, so just shut up and or move on
Rather harsh considering Dulles is an architectural landmark and one of the most striking and beautiful airports in the world. Tell me another that is as graceful after 60 years. Unless of course he only connected there on United, in which case I will give him a pass.
Does Germany have a cockroaches shortage?
Passenger breast feeding a cat? Wow talk about quality travel content.
If you don’t want to read the story, then pass on it and move to the next one that interests you. No reason to attack Gary, as it is travel and I, a true crazy Floridian, love the weird.
