News and notes from around the interweb:
- The Boeing 747 detained in Argentina with ‘too many’ crewmembers and Iranian pilots – and hotel rooms raided by ‘antiterror officials’
- Turkish Airlines is rebranding as Türkiye Hava Yolları – so, yeah, am I actually going to call it that? I have a hard enough time dropping Hilton’s second ‘H’ from Honors. Though I guess maybe I’d better?
Turkey will soon have a speech law that criminalizes criticism of the regime. The opposition faces a tough choice. Protesting would give the regime excuses to arrest opposition leaders for sedition and sowing chaos. Passivity would be to accept voicelessness.

- Watch: Hong Kong’s iconic floating restaurant towed away
- Oh come on.

Guess that explains the availability of TK saver awards later this year.
All Alliance members should be using the same number of miles across to get tickets.. That is the purpose of an alliance. Gong from 25,000 on one to 40,000 to anther does not make sense. this is like preparing tax returns in 50 states….everyone has a different rate and it is just the consumer who says WTF this is not worth it and the loyalty goes out the door
Turkey, the great NATO ally
