  2. This has been a long standing problem in Cancun. Many better destinations in Mexico without all the nonsense of Cancun.

    Thank you. Will be first time,not counting the first market in Tijuana and back. Cancun seems too touristy.

  4. Yeah, this has been happening forever, especially in Playa del Carmen and Cancun, and especially if you want to leave your hermetically sealed Cancun resort to explore the town of Playa del Carmen, or maybe to go to Tulum.

    The resort workers legit tell you to queue for a taxi for that very reason.

  5. Edit: I agree with the Mérida suggestion from @Rof. It’s a great town with a distinctly Caribbean flavor.
