Radisson hotels in the Americas is now part of Choice hotels, while the international Radisson chain remains separate. The two were split because of Chinese ownership and concerns over control of U.S. data.
Intending to target SAS EuroBonus frequent flyer program members, there’s a link to sign up for the international Radisson Rewards program with top tier elite status, or upgrade an existing account to that status. Reportedly new account signups are being given status for nearly two years instantly. Enter the access code 8325840fa7.
This status normally requires 20 stays or 30 nights, and comes with benefits such as:
- room upgrades
- priority check-in
- food and beverage discounts
- early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability.
- priority customer service
- free breakfast
I don’t expect the offer to remain open long. You may want this status purely as bait to status match to another program in the future.

I was “targeted” for this based on my SAS Star Gold status but it only granted my existinf
G Radisson account one year of VIP status. Opening a new account would give two years of VIP status. But yesterday at least it was possible for anyone with an email address to open and activate an account and sign up with instant VIP level status at Radisson.
I already have a crazy amount of hotel elite status entitling me to breakfast, and now this is another one.
Radisson Rewards seems to be down entirely at the moment. I was able to do this earlier in the AM, but now can’t even sign in to my account. Maybe try again in a bit?

I haven’t been able to sign in for about a week now and even requesting forgotten password is met with an error message.
Choice ripped off Radisson members. Only one Choice point for two Radisson points….and no choice to keep Radisson points for foreign travel
Same here as with @steve – getting an error message trying to sign in to my account, or reset a password or even “activate” the account again. Still, I was able to apply the offer (at least I got the confirmation message in the browser) using my email address without signing in. Will see if it sticks.

You might want to update that the trick is dead as people are now reporting on FT that they can’t even log in.
The site is back up and running for logging in. Haven’t yet checked if they have changed the instant upgrade code.

Already a member, signed up, got the error message every else received but just checked the app and it now shows VIP. You may receive an error message but it appears the request will go through despite it. Refresh the website and your app to see if the request went through.

Finally got it to work. My existing account is VIP until 2025. Created a new account for my husband and he’s VIP until 2026. Works out great for us as we are planning on booking some Radisson properties in Europe over the next year.

I received the status but initially also got the spinning wheel trying to create a new account
My work around was to use my former membership number and email
There is a fast registration with just one click and your email address attached to the pre existing account
Signed up but unable to log in until I activate my account.
Can’t activate because don’t know my membership number.
Can’t access membership number because can’t log in…
No email either.

This instant status offer has nothing to do with Choice (inclusive of Radisson Americas). It’s Radisson (outside of the Americas) that launched this offer to try to grab more business from us SAS elite program members.
Worked for me when signing in to my Radisson International account. Now let’s see how it works at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center LHR. Not sure what VIP perks they have but a room upgrade and/or breakfast would be nice. Rates are so affordable there that I always pay cash.
Forgot to mention. While there most likely are many on this site that would not stay at the LHR Radisson Conference Hotel for any price, I’ve been staying there since the 80’s and The Three Magpies pub across Bath Road has one of the best Fish & Chips I’ve ever enjoyed.
