Having to leave a courtyard in ATL due to the attention to cleanliness. Previous guests soiled clothing in the armoire, along with the bag of cocaine off the elevator. Courtyard airport west for reference. Called the customer service line to no avail for any type of inconvenience

- With Trump’s travel ban including on Cuban residents, American Airlines is asking the Department of Transportation to let it suspend Miami – Santiago de Cuba service and reduce Miami – Havana to 33 weekly (down from 56 authorized and current reduction of 46).
I take it as an excuse from American to ask to suspend service while retaining the right to serve the routes (and blocking other airlines from picking up the service in its place) since the bulk of U.S. – Cuba traffic is going to be U.S. originating (Americans are the ones with the money to make this trip.)

Uh, are we really doing a second ‘Red Scare’ against actors, but this time, not about ‘communists,’ rather about whether anyone has a ‘ethnic’ sounding name, or if they’re ‘famous’ and have ever said anything less than ‘pleasant’ about our ‘Dear Leader,’ because that all sounds ‘not great’ and against the liberties found in our Constitution… where are the ‘conservatives’ who will defend against obvious government overreach? Oh, crickets.. got it. You wanted kings after all, you just thought it’d be fine if they were ‘your’ kings… this should go ‘well’ for you… hmm…

Marriott seems to be going downhill as a hotel chain, more complaints about them than any other chain.
Allowing the cabin to overheat is inexcusable in all but extreme situations. Everyone else onboard should have been compensated.
Love Marriott I’m elite members spouse who’s husband travels for Honeyhell. It’s great he travels 150 days a year so I’m a desperate housewife 215 days a year without my chocolate man. Housekeeping is a tough biz to find good staff that cares and let’s face it it’s a tough job with the MGMT. Setting unrealistic staff goals that they couldn’t even do themselves, that’s why their in MGMT. Really , it’s kinda like a nurse at a nursing home the supervisor gives em 20+ rooms to deal with in a shift and let’s say they really only get 20 mins to clean up after a guest. Omg personally I can’t even make my own bed in 15 minutes stripping sheets and pillowcases I have no idea what hotel guest really expect omg. Just remember most hotels check out time is 11 am so the window to do 20+ rooms before 5pm and still have a lunch break – impossible I couldn’t do it. Bottom line I blame the hotel management or the management company for that specific Marriott as most are francishised these days. And bugs even at a Ritz Carlton I’ve seen bugs. Next time carry your fentanyl check strips and if you find an 8ball – wow gurl if only I’m gonna have some fun like I was teen again, get me some malt liquor too and a blunt blast some ice cube and Tupac!! If only.. why can’t I find a coke amenity – instead I get 2 bottles of water a 375 bottle of wine and a fruit plate. .
So it’s sad you found that especially dirty cloths. Did you list em on Mercari or eBay ? Seems everyone else does. Should have just asked to be moved and upgraded that’s a more logical solution, and if hotel was sold out they would be required ti ” walk you ” at their cost to accommodate you including transportation and then essentially your stay is free, ha bet ya never thought of that !! Your social media actions are spot on pics go the distance and prove the case. By the way thank you for an amusing story made me smile and cringe.
Seriously, I would have just kept the coke as compensation. But I can’t imagine someone staying at an Atlanta courtyard has some high quality snow.
Bag of coke is now a sign that this is an up-and-coming trendy , hot place. Honestly coke and weed are commonplace at many upscale and luxury hotels. It’s basically the 80s again. Probably low grade though stuff of found at a courtyard though.
Love the Fear And Loathing quote. Perhaps “We can’t stop here. This is roach country.” Might have been more appropriate if less accurate.
Unfortunately, Marriott is… well, Marriott which means you pretty much have zero recourse when things go south.
Large hotel chains are not in the business of running hotels. They’re in the business of selling franchisees and there usually isn’t much thought into controlling what those franchisees do or don’t do.
