HURRY: Amazing Transatlantic Airfares Have Spread, 50 Cent Base Fares!!

This isn’t Brexit, there are deals between various US cities and across Europe. These deals have been coming up recently with increased regularity. With fuel prices still low, increased competition, and even more seats from low cost carriers across the Atlantic airfare sales have heated up.

Over the weekend I wrote about Delta attacking American hubs with transatlantic airfares from $442 roundtrip.

Via The Flight Deal great airfares have spread — as low as $425, and even from United hubs on the West Coast.

United’s Star Alliance partner airline itineraries are available at similar pricing, and Delta and Air France itineraries have frequently spread to the same cities as well now.

Some of the airfares are in the $500s and into the $600s, which are still outstanding deals considering you can fly to Spain, France, Italy, and even Istanbul.

Here’s what pricing looks like for September and October trips, San Francisco – Istanbul:

Here’s a sample itinerary on Air Canada:

The craziest thing? These are 50 cent base fares in each direction.

Not everything is this cheap of course. American is in on the action too now, and even from their own hubs. Dallas – Paris prices around $640 all-in. If you’re willing to spend that much you should be able to travel from many hubs to places like Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam, Prague, London or even Athens.

While rules vary slightly across the airlines you’ll generally find:

  • Outbound travel must be Sunday through Wednesday
  • There’s a 7 day minimum stay required
  • You can return to the US Monday through Thursday
  • Fares are available for outbound travel August 23 through October 29
  • You cannot return to the US during the period of December 15 through January 8

  1. This fare sale is much bigger on Monday morning than indicated on The Flight Deal. Low fares are available from small regional airports across the USA with all three major airlines American, Delta and United to airports across Europe for departures starting in August and through March 2017.

I found low fares in $500s and $600s from airports like, Boise, Fargo, Burlington VT, El Paso, Texas, Monroe, LA, Colorado Springs to Dublin, Paris, Rome, Athens and even to regional airports in Spain. These are airports where airfare to Europe is usually over $1,000 round trip.

This is one of the biggest fare sales to Europe in 2016 and a great opportunity for flyers who do not live near a major hub airport to pick up a low fare ticket for travel August to March 2017.
