Black Friday airfare sales aren’t usually really sales, they’re just promotions of pre-existing or ongoing low fares. But these deals are legit. Still airfare goes on sale enough these days that if you’re paying attention you should be able to replicate these fares later on — just watch this space!

  1. Spirit Airlines is ridiculous and is the most complained about airlines for years now … sure 90% sounds great but they charge $50 for the first bag and then $100 for the second and then they charge you … etc. etc. etc.

Thanks for the heads up and happy Black Friday shopping!

  2. Spirit charges $30-1st/40-2nd during booking and $40-1st/$50-2nd before check in.
    American charges $25-1st/$35-2nd.

The most expensive for a second bag is 65 at the gate.

Yup, Spirit clearly overcharges for bags over the other guys at $100.
If Spirit runs on time, which they beat every carrier last month, then they are a GREAT option.
