Here’s 250 free miles for sharing your latest award trip.
Aeroplan emails,
Thought you might want to share this out to your readers as an easy way to make 250 Aeroplan Miles and keep your Aeroplan account from expiring!
Earn 250 miles just for telling us about your latest trip using miles.
Did you use your Aeroplan Miles towards a trip this year? Tell us all about it and you’ll earn 250 Aeroplan Miles, just for sharing your travel story with us.
They’re a Star Alliance member and American Express and Starwood transfer partner.
Aeroplan points don’t expire as long as you have activity of some kind every 12 months. And this is activity.
Hmm, bait and switch? After I submitted it says: “Thank you for sharing your Aeroplan travel story with us! You will be credited 250 miles within 6 to 8 weeks, if your story is selected. ”
That “… if your story is selected” part seems interesting.
Yep, I just wrote the same on Lucky’s site. It is bait and switch. I expect Gary and Lucky to do their homework before posting this garbage :-/
I wish I’d read the previous posts. Same thing happened to me. Waste of time – and I still need to find a way to keep the miles from expiring.
I still highly suspect that we’ll get the 250 miles and that the wording is just wrong on the Aeroplan site. How many stories are they going to select and only give away 250 miles each for? I would expect 5k miles or something higher for a story being selected for them to promote. Also the wording before you start the promo doesn’t say “if your story is selected”.
Didn’t meant to say that Gary was pulling a bait and switch, but meant Aeroplan is with the conflicted wording.
Aeroplan had similar offers earlier this year. Has anyone had the miles from those post?
Aeroplan and by extension, Air Canada has the worst customer service of any North American airline. When I go to Canada (3-4x a year) I usually am lucky enough to fly WestJet, which is miles ahead of Air Canada.
Just FYI, my 250 points posted today and expiration date moved out a year. Woohoo! Glad the wording on the last screen of their site was wrong.
Thanks, Gary!
