American Express’ first ‘Centurion Studio’ has opened at Seattle’s international airport, across from gate B3. Hours are 5am to 10pm.

The ‘studio’ concept is that American Express wants lounges in major airports and will take smaller spaces if that’s all that’s available, though that requires a scaled-down experience. There won’t be a spa, for instance.

To remind, there are American Express Centurion lounges at US airports already in:

Here’s what the new Centurion Studio in Seattle looks like. It will look very similar to Centurion lounge in design, for those who have visited one.

These are the food options:

The Centurion Studio features a curated collection of locally-inspired light bites and beverages from premium Seattle-based brands locals know and love:

• Build a breakfast parfait with Anna’s honey, Ellenos Yogurt and Marge Granola.
  
• Snack on Macrina Bakery artisan baked breads, Theo artisanal chocolate and Tim’s Cascade Chips, as well as seasonal fresh fruit and crisp crudités with hummus.
  
• Enjoy handcrafted Jones Soda, savor an aromatic IPA from Georgetown Brewing Company or sip on award-winning wines from the Columbia Valley. Of course, The Centurion Studio in SEA would not be complete without fresh-roasted coffee, so locally-brewed Caffe Vita is served.

They’ll also have “wine, beer and artisanal beverages.”

Food and beverages are more limited than at a Centurion lounge, no doubt because they don’t have the extensive cooking space as in their larger spaces at other airports. They also need to limit access to the ‘studio’ and as a result while Centurion and Platinum cardmembers (and immediate family or one guest) are welcome they don’t sell day passes.
