  1. Newfoundland is the one Canadian province I haven’t been to, so it’s on my bucket list, along with the three territories. I’ll combine it with a trip to St Pierre & Miquelon, another place most Americans don’t know exists. I was in Sardinia last week, and when the various sites asked where we were from for their survey, they always assumed we were from the UK. When we said the US, they always looked incredulous, like they never see Americans.

    Too many people just go where everyone else goes, when everyone else goes, then complain about the crowds.
