Back in March Qatar Airways debuted their new business class Qsuite which may be the new best business class seat in the world.

At the time of the unveiling, it was suggested that the first route to get the new business class suites would be Doha – London this summer onboard a new delivery Boeing 777-300ER.
New products are often delayed. They rarely debut early. But it looks like this one might be ahead of schedule.
God Save the Points reports that the product will fly Doha – London starting June 7 on QR flights 7 and 8. Update: June 10.
Qatar teased the product on Instagram today.
Qatar plans to retrofit existing Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s with these new Qsuites. And they’re going to put a modified version of the seat into Boeing 787s and Airbus A380s.
We should expect to see Qatar flying these seats in the not too distant future to Paris, New York, and Tokyo as well.

This ups the ante in business class, new passenger experience is great to see. Qatar flies myriad routes from the US with great connections into India and the surrounding region.
And as a oneworld member American AAdvantage miles are great for booking awards. Hopefully award availability will remain great with the new product.
Meanwhile Delta announced over last summer that they’re going to be introducing suites with doors to business class, the doors will be added onto Thompson Vantage XL seats which are nice enough but hardly my preferred seat for ultra long haul.
Qatar’s existing A350 offering may already be better than this, we don’t really know until the new Delta suites are in the sky, although unquestionably their food program has Delta beat.
Qatar’s new suites should position them with the best business class in the world, somthing they already have a reasonable claim to on a portion of their fleet.
Here’s video of the new business class Qsuite:
And here’s a 360 degree video tour of the new cabin:
I’ll be excited to see these live, and we don’t have long to wait for the first one.
It seems a bit premature to anoint this as the best ever before actually trying it. How’s the seat width? The foot space? Do the seats have a better or worse comfort zone while reclining? How is the ambient noise level in the center if you don’t know your neighbor and don’t want to? You’re known for analysis, so it just feels like a bit of a puff piece to accept the hype without question.
I’m not sure beibg able to create essentially a four-person conference room for business meetings or family gatherings is a good thing.
any employer that expects you to work on a 12-hr flight should buy you these seats!
Oh Christian, did you not know that ‘Qatar Deserves The Best’ ?*
*sorry, inside joke for readers who live in Qatar 😉
And over at United they continue to spend millions touting their Polaris seats that their chosen manufacturer can’t produce, and won’t be installed until when? 2019? 2020?
Already outdated before they start.
Wow, that’s something else, a real first class experience in travel! I better get going with my travel miles so I can experience this sometime!
