- This is my biggest current frequent flyer frustration as well. I too transferred a bunch of points into Korean Air Skypass years ago, and need to use them before they expire, but the whole idea was to redeem Korean Air first class awards and the airline went from being super generous in availability to no longer releasing those at all.

- American Airlines is launching Tijuana and Pasco, Washington. Both are interesting. Tijuana doesn’t currently have international service. I used to walk across from Southern California when I wasn’t yet drinking age in the States and you didn’t need a passport. American Airlines joked internally that Vice President of Network Planning Brian Znotins was traveling Mexico during the pandemic, looking for places they didn’t serve that had paved runways.
Meanwhile Allegiant flies Mesa – Pasco, so American is competing against a low cost player in the local market, but probably looking more to serve connecting markets.
American Airlines is adding two new destinations:
– Tijuana, Mexico (TIJ)

The $375k sounds way excessive for bedbugs. I wonder if the tourist brought them and nurtured them.
Years ago, TIJ was a great way for award seats across the Pacific, as AM had a non-stop from TIJ to NRT. Availability was excellent for business, and you could use your SkyPesos at a reasonable rate.

The hidden spy cameras are becoming a bigger and bigger risk everywhere given what has gone on with the cost and availability of such devices. Even security cameras placed in plain sight and highly visible are misused at times, and those are often placed in highly visible locations and even explicitly noted at times.
Did the creepy Silver Spring, Maryland brothers have a camera or doorbell camera watching their front entrance? Wouldn’t surprise me if they did.
