FAA Revises Reagan National Arrivals To 26 per Hour Following Blackhawk–Regional Jet Collision

Following the disastrous collision of a military helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet landing from Wichita at Washington’s National airport on January 29, the FAA restricted the helicopter flight path around the airport. It appears that the Blackhawk was flying at an altitude above where it was supposed to be at the time the two aircraft collided. The FAA has also reduced throughput at the airport with runways 15-33 and 4-22 closed for the duration of the salvage operation, and all flights currently using the airport’s main Runway 1-19. The change is being reported as a reduction in allowable arrivals from 28 to 26 per hour. These aren’t bottles of La Grande Dame – was it worth it to check these? And why pack them without better protection? Did the passengers pay customs duty? It was going to be tough to conceal them leaving baggage claim!

I Took Her $100: ‘She Was Claustrophobic at the Window’ – Now We Know What The Aisle Seat Is Worth

Feb 07 2025

I pick my seats for a reason, but as long as I’m not being inconvenienced too much by the request, and the request is a reasonable one, I try to be accommodating. Sometimes I get a thank you.

So it was actually thrilling to hear about a woman that tried hard to really show her appreciate for a passenger that agreed to switch seats. She kept trying to offer $100 as a thank you on a Boston – Atlanta flight in first class.
