Drunk Kuwaiti Man Arrested in Airport After Threatening to Bomb Families of Police

A Kuwaiti man with a criminal record was arrested trying to use a boarding pass in someone else’s name, spitting in the face of an officer and threatening to bomb the families of police.

His defense? He was drunk and doesn’t remember any of it.

He was granted bail on two conditions:

  • He has to report to police twice a week
  • He cannot go within 330 feet (100 meters) of an airport

Brisbane, Australia Domestic Departures

This all happened at the departure gate for a Virgin Australia flight VA476 from Brisbane to Perth on Wednesday night. This is being handled as a nuisance matter by the courts and isn’t considered a national security issue, because Aussies are more realistic about such things than we are (except where it concerns Barbie).

The flight wasn’t even delayed.

Might I suggest that when he returns to court September 22nd that instead of “I can’t remember, I was drunk” that he try the Chewbacca Defense instead?
