Gift Hertz Elite Status To Anyone You Wish

Hertz is allowing current elite members to gift status to one person of their choosing, and that status will last through June 30, 2022. Current Five Star members can gift Five Star, and Presidents Circle members can gift Presidents Circle.

Presidents Circle by the way normally takes 15 rentals or $3,000 spend in a year, and offers upgrades and 50% bonus on points-earning.

The new Capital One Venture X card comes with complimentary Hertz President’s Circle status as it is, so lots of readers can get this who do not have it already. And by the way the Presidents Circle benefit is for primary cardholders, authorized users and account managers. The Capital One Venture X card lets you add up to 4 no annual fee authorized users who can have Presidents Circle.

Hopefully Hertz status will keep your friend or loved one from getting arrested when they rent from Hertz.

  2. Chatter, that’s not true. These days we’re more focused on not giving our customers cars, rather than having them arrested. By not having enough cars to give to your relatives, we keep them away from your family gatherings without all the needless bother and expense of police reports.

  5. @Jonathan – I’m getting the same “could not verify” message. Wonder if it’s because my own President’s Circle was given to me by Venture X – I didn’t do anything to earn it

  8. Link is not working for me. Also noticed that my United ff number is no longer valid in my account and that it appears there is no way to link a United account to Hertz.

  9. @Phillip Munoz As has been reported on this blog and elsewhere, Hertz and United are no longer partnering. Avis Budget won the new contract, so all benefits of the previous Hertz/United partnership are now null and void.

  10. Still seeing the error message, has anyone got it to work?
    Looks like another black eye for Hertz. 🙁
