Inaugural flights can be really special, and each airline handles these things in different ways. For instance when American Airlines launched Austin – Miami:
- They had breakfast tacos and juice for everyone.
- City officials failed to show to make their remarks for the 6 a.m. flight.
- And it turned out that staff ate the celebratory cake the day before.
VietJet has been known to celebrate inaugural flights with women in bikinis, as long as the governments of the cities they’re starting service to don’t object.
And Air India? On February 20 they restarted service from Birmingham, UK to Amritsar, India after eight years, and this happened because no celebration is complete without music and dance.
Air India now flies this route twice weekly with a Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
This is awesome!
after this energetic music it would be tough to sit still for a longish flight. Great costumes!
I did not realize you can make music with garbage can lids….
Surprised at you Gary. An Air India article without a link to your favourite TV commercial?
No event or celebration in India is complete without music and dance. It’s a cultural thing.
@williamc
Don’t look now but your ignorance is showing.
Where do you see the garbage can lids in the video?
Could have looked up the name of instrument before posting your comment.
Besides music can be made on anything , look up Stomp on Broadway for what can make music.
This is great way to make travelers feels happy and entertained during their trip. Innovative idea of celebrating New Year in flights..
This is the way the indians enjoy celebrations
Thanks for This is the way the indians enjoy celebrations..
