Hilton’s Fourth Quarter Promo is Exactly What You’d Expect

Hilton has been running double points since May 1. Hilton usually runs double points, for instance they basically ran it all of 2016.

For some reason they weren’t ready to announce what their next promotion would be so at the end of July they extended double points through September 9.

Hilton has just come out with their end of year promo. They’ve used the extra time from that last extension to come up with: double points.

Except it’s double points at nearly all Hilton properties, but triple points at luxury and resort properties. This runs September 10 through January 3. Registration is required.

Double points are pretty much required now that Hilton reduced points-earning for base members and Silvers this year, leaving Hilton’s earn and burn program less valuable than competitors’.

A Hilton point is worth $0.004. Double points means an extra 10 points per dollar spent. This promo amounts to an extra 4% rebate on your Hilton stays.

You should register even if you don’t regularly stay at HIlton properties. Double points are better than single points. And you never know when you’ll wind up staying at a Hilton, there are lots of them, so even if they aren’t in your plans it’s better for you to have registered and earned the points when it was on your radar than have to remember later and most likely forget.
