HURRY: Business Class Awards To India Wide Open Every Day On United

United Airlines award space is wide open between the U.S. and India. You can fly out of San Francisco, Chicago, or Newark (or, potentially, connect to one of those cities) and on to Delhi with some availability to Mumbai as well. You’ll find at least two business class seats every day through the end of the schedule.

These awards are pricing out at 88,000 miles each way for non-elite members of MileagePlus who do not have a co-brand credit card. Others may find them priced at 80,000 miles. Awards do not seem to be bookable through other programs – only through United. Chase and Bilt points transfer to United. I do not expect this availability to last. Book right away, cancellation and redeposit of points is fee-free.

  1. I got a trip booked and ticked earlier but trying for a different set of dates, it’s now failing at the payment page. They may have pulled it.

  2. That seems to have worked like a charm – DFW-BOM one way via Dubai (and Emirates on the last leg); and BOM-DFW on the return (via DEL, on the long nonstop to EWR). Early Feb 2024. Thanks Gary. Booked about 7:15p.m. CT and it seems to have ticketed all of it by 7:45pm.CT

  3. Ticketed 2 roundtrips – thanks for the trip! Trying for a family member and seems to be pulled.

  4. Yeah, looks to be gone/pulled. Had one ready to purchase for December to Delhi and it failed on payment… went back and try to search and they’ve disabled all J bookings between US and India–they won’t even display at the ridiculously high new “normal” levels in the J column. Just not even bookable or visible, period.

  5. Out of curiosity, how were you able to view availability that far out? My calendar stops at August of 2024

  6. All gone. Got EWR-DEL-BOM and mixed return on LH & UH with LH in Y in Dec!

Barely got the MIXED cabin return while they were pulling it as I could not ticket BOM-DEL-EWR

Hope they don’t cancel as mistake fare?

    Thanks Gary!

  7. At 5:38 pm I was able to ticket a Newark to Delhi nonstop in May for 80k miles, so it definitely worked then.

  8. Lol for various reasons I couldn’t take advantage of this one, but I have to chuckle at how, true to character, UA and its Comcast loyalty execs panic-pulled a “deal” when they accidently offered a fair award rate. Classic UA.
