Did You Know That New Delta Members Can Earn 40,000 Bonus Miles (Not Counting What Amex Will Give You)

This offer has been around since 2012, but I don’t think I’ve written about it since then. Most readers probably already have Delta Skymiles accounts, but there are always new readers and folks just getting into the hobby.

Overall I don’t recommend focusing on the Skymiles program, but if you’re hub captive in Atlanta, Detroit, or Minneapolis (or if you live in the Upper Midwest) then you’re going to wing up flying Delta. And it makes sense to get the most out of the tickets you’re buying anyway.

There are two links to the offer which appear to include the same terms: New Member Bonus is the one that US residents want. There’s also New Member Curriculum, which reminds me of how Northwest Worldperks used to market, and limits the bonus for new credit card signups to residents of certain countries no including the US.

Unlike the 1000 miles just for joining that Delta was offering earlier in the year, each of the components of this offer require actually doing something.

You must register for the offer within 30 days of creating your new Delta Skymiles account, and accept all of their e-mails. You have 12 months from creating your account to complete the tasks and earn bonuses.
