LATAM Offering Paid Elite Status Match, No Flying Required

StatusMatch.com which is currently offering a lucrative status match with Frontier Airlines (up to top tier, open to people that have matched before, and even matching against hotel and cruise programs).

They now also have a a status match offering with LATAM, the South American megacarrier that left oneworld to link up with Delta Air Lines. And they’re even matching up to Black status.

LATAM ran a similar offer last year, with the added kicker that you could request a bump to one higher level than what you were given if you applied for a co-brand credit card. That offer was geographically restricted, though. This one is open to residents of the entire world except Brazil.

Generally speaking they will match against status from nearly 70 airlines, including Vistara, Air Astana, and EgyptAir. Surely they just wanted to list a lot of airlines here!

At the Black level status includes up to 167% bonus on flights; upgrades; lounge access; priority check-in and boarding; extra baggage allowance; same-day confirmed changes. Status runs through March 2024.

  • This is a paid match. The amount is based on where you live.
  • U.S. residents along with those of Australia, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru pay $80
  • Folks who live in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland pay $98
  • Everyone else pays $199

But LATAM status really is best for travel on LATAM. Their partner airline benefits are limited. Platinum members and above do receive lounge access with Qatar, Qantas, JAL, Iberia and Aeromexico and Delta, but is often limited to times when actually traveling same day with LATAM.

  1. @Gary – can one participate in this match if they were part of the previous match ? Any info appreciated .

  2. I got the Platinum Pro status with AA thanks to the status match with Hyatt through Jan 2024. Do you guys think they would match it? I don’t want to waste $80. Thank you.

  3. I did this match last time. LATAM IT is so bad they couldn’t even honor any benefits of the black card. They kept sending me emails saying my account was being updated. The one time I tried to upgrade on a LATAM flight…the agents had no idea what I was talking about and could not process anything. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME.

  4. Note that this offer is being managed by statusmatch.com. Once you apply for one status match through this company, your details are retained in an ever-growing database of members. I believe the evolution of this company will make status matching increasingly difficult in the future.
