News and notes from around the interweb:
- “It’s always Marriott”
Didn’t help that I had to argue for free bottled water to brush my teeth. Sorry, I’m not putting water from these pipes in my mouth.
Craziest shit I have ever seen at a hotel — Courtyard by Marriott, Campbell, CA
byu/DonkeyHo-Tay inmarriott - As American AIrlines Barclays credit cards get converted to Citibank cards April 24th, Aviator Silver cardmembers transition to Citibank Globe cards.
They’ll get to double dip on status benefits-earning between those two cards – earning bonus Loyalty Points for both flights taken (Globe’s ‘Flight Streak’ benefit) and for spending (Aviator Silver’s benefit). However, for cardmembers who already have a Globe card and an Aviator Silver that becomes Globe, American has clarified to me that there’s no possibility of double dipping on Flight Streak (so you don’t get the bonus loyalty points for flight segments twice).
- RIP British Airways AARP discount
- Hyatt owner sales deck included in the Epstein files interesting if dated data.
- Why do some people clap when a plane lands — and why do others find it so annoying?
- It remains a mystery why United is able to do such a better job with meals domestically than in long haul business class (especially with their regional offerings). It’s not just the pre-plating of Polaris meals to save on flight attendant costs.
Ok @united I preordered the regional crab cakes for my flight from @Dulles_Airport to DEN and was greatly surprised to have lump crab meat crab cakes. No filler. One of the best, if not the best meals I’ve had on a flight in many years. Cheer’s to you! pic.twitter.com/8y6Zk6pM5B
