  1. “Violent Protesters”
Where is that coming from? The usual far-right wackos? Everyone knows these are all “Mostly Peaceful Protesters”.
    lol

  2. “Conservative Provocateur”
Of course. When you dare to report the truth of the violence coming from left-wing thugs and mobs, you’re a “provocateur”. As if he only has himself to blame for being beaten up and threatened. Wow. Weird how I’ve never heard of a reporter reporting on right-wing violence as a provocateur. But we’re used to the double standards in the media.

  3. Provocateurs are sometimes on the receiving end of the violence they desire for others…and rightfully so.

  4. So a gay, Asian-American journalist is attacked for his reporting and the takeaway is an NBA team was trapped in their hotel? Somehow I doubt that would be the case were the reporter from CNN and the attackers were a bunch of MAGA schlubs – then it would be an attack on the 1st Amendment.

  5. Andy Ngo isn’t a “provocateur”, he is a freelance reporter doing a job that few (if any) mainstream media leftist snowflakes care to do. For reporting the truth on Antifa, they hate and want to kill him. Peacefully, of course.

Note: they beat him up, because they thought it “might” be him, they didn’t know for certain. But really, resembling a “conservative”, is reason enough for a mob beating, right?

    +100 !

As for “Provocateurs are sometimes on the receiving end of the violence they desire for others…and rightfully so.” aka: “the bitch deserved the beating” whether or not he was the person we thought he “might” be.

And if the pro-Chinese Military Dictatorship NBA (protecting their profits from broadcasting games in China) had some players “trapped” inside a luxury hotel after midnight, for a full half an hour, cry me a river……

  7. AntiFa is a radical communist terror cell. This something to be taken seriously.

  8. Don’t seem to hear much of an outcry about attacks on this Asian. Hypocrites. Just proves it’s a political movement and not about equality.

  9. Come on David, Andy Ngo isnt Asian or gay. Unless you are a leftist, you are a straight white supremacist.

  10. Portland is, as the president we musn’t name likes to say, “a shithole” city.

  11. @Gary – So it’s okay if I spout a bunch of political vitriol under different names too, right?

  12. I’ve been through Frankfurt multiple times since the Pandemic started. Lufthansa offers you the choice of a pretzel or the most nauseating sandwich you’ve ever tasted, plus a bottle of water. You also have go out into the concourse to eat them, which is always more crowded than the lounge. But hey, its the rules…

  13. Yeah but what about “Stop Asian Hate”????
    Trump should have nuked Portland.

  14. Ah, Portland, The City of Roses, except that the bloom is off the rose and all that is left in the flower bed is a load of stinking manure.

  15. “Conservative Provocateur”..

Nice to show your “I voted for Biden” t-shirt you’re wearing underneath your polo, Gary.

So much for a free press, esp if you trying to report on extreme leftist clowns who will kill you if you disagree with them

  16. Gary, I don’t know hat possessed you to post that story about a NBA team being trapped in a hotel room, but you deserve all of the criticism being thrown your way by the Trumptards today. I hope it was worth the clicks.

Please try and keep politics out of this site. There’s enough shiite in the world already. Can we please have some distractions and read about travel only?

  17. Andy Ngo is a journalist. Just because leftists are intolerant of free speech doesn’t make him anything else.

This is an excellent example of the bias in the media (including blogs). News companies frame the narrative with the headlines they choose, the sources used, and the perspectives allowed input. A conservative policy may have 70% of support like building a wall or strict immigration enforcement but it will be called a controversial policy in the headline and article on Reuters for instance. A leftist policy opposed by 70% of the public will be labeled as having support from civil rights groups and the massive opposition to the policy will be ignore or minimized in the article. The writer won’t quote any conservative viewpoints on a leftist policy but will quote many leftist viewpoints for the article on a conservative policy.

When people say there is no bias in the mainstream media, they are wrong. The bias is in the headline and the facts/diverse viewpoints ignored or minimized in the article. Major news outlets will say a riot that burns businesses to the ground is mostly peaceful. They’ll call people walking within the ropes in a building and taking pictures a violent attack.

We will never have freedom with leftists. View them with disgust in everything you do and impede them any way you can.

  18. Documenting left-wing violence makes you a “provocateur” in Leff-land. Got it.

  19. @Jimmy

Not everyone who follows the situation in Portland and with Andy Ngo is a “Trumptard”. I get most of my info on the situation from Bret Weinstein who is about as far from a Trump supporter as you can get, and he lives in Portland. There are plenty of people on the left who want nothing to do with Antifa.

As for posting the article in the first place, I’m actually glad it was posted here, despite the framing. That really hasn’t been covered anywhere, either in the mainstream press or in the more right-sympathetic press. Ngo has gone radio-silent since May 28. It’s an interesting situation and I appreciate anyone who brings it to light.

  20. @Gary’s working hard to drag his website into the mud, but hey, he’s gettting clicks !

And please folk, I assume the progressive-minded people who use the term “Trumptard” realize how offensive that is to individuals with cognitive disabilities. I suspect many of you blast Trump and others for offensive speech, but then you toss around variations of “retard.” Look in the mirror, people. Look in the mirror.

    The world’s gone mad.
