The Worst, Most Uncomfortable Flight in America

Yesterday Spirit Airlines began flying Los Angeles – Baltimore. (On August 20 they will begin flying Los Angeles – Atlanta.)

If you’re not tall, don’t need the cushion of redundant flight schedules to get you where you’re going in the event of cancellation, and especially if you can pay attention to and avoid all of the fees along the way there are some great deals on transportation to be had from Spirit.

Will American Airlines Start Offering International Service from Houston Hobby Airport?

At the June 17 Houston City Council meeting, a five year renewaable lease with American Airlines was approved that gives it access to a shared international gate at Houston Hobby airport.

The $1.7 million agreement provides for 5128 square feet of ticket counter, operations and administrative space, baggage service office, and gate holdroom space. It also provides access to shared terminal space and includes landing fees.

Here’s What You (Really) Need to Know When Planning a Trip to Cuba

Since I don’t have experiences of Cuba travel to offer, I’m especially interested in stories of visiting there. Fortunately my friend Adelle Archer has been more than once, she’s just returned and offered to share a few tips from the trips she’s taken.

I very much look forward to Cuban modernizing.. for the sake of the Cuban people. Remember that however quaint walking back into the 1950s may be as a tourist, the people of Cuba have been forced to live without the benefit of many of the advances of technology that we too easily take for granted.
