Saturday night’s JetBlue flight 2404 from San Juan to New York JFK diverted to Richmond after a passenger, who brought their own alcohol on board, got into an altercation with their wife.
A passenger on board the aircraft shared with View From The Wing that the man had brought on a bottle of Hennessy, was visibly intoxicated, and had “choked out his wife.”
Hertz in New Orleans refused to rent to a car to a law enforcement officer of 25 years because he’s from Puerto Rico – and only presented a driver’s license and not a passport – because “he was from a foreign country.”
When the man insisted that no, he’s an American, the rental car giant called law enforcement to remove him. That’s when he was threatened to bring over immigration authorities.
What’s unique here though is that a passenger usually only urinates in the cabin once before being restrained or passing out. They aren’t usually allowed to wait awhile, build up the urge again, and let loose a second time.. let alone a third.
A passport with X or U as gender is ineligible for entry into or transit through the United Arab Emirates.

The attire on this Spirit Airlines flight attendant haunts me. I can’t stop watching it, and I can’t look away. She parades down the aisle dressed in concert, while another crewmember makes an announcement about it. She’s apparently promoting her Philadelphia-based cleaning services business that she runs on the side.
When your flights are cancelled or substantially delayed, and the airline can’t get you where you’re going, sometimes you’re willing to… fly somewhere else. If you’re flying cross-country, you might even take something hundreds of miles away from your destination, if the trip is important enough. Maybe you’d fly to Los Angeles instead of San Francisco and drive.
An interesting question is, what if anything does an airline owe you if you do actually fly – but don’t fly where you were trying to go?
