• That time passengers were told to give up their seats for United’s CEO and his family

• A disgruntled Marriott employee went around changing customer reservations and gave them mistake rate surprises.

  The incident happened last August when Juan Rodriguez got into the backend reservation system and updated rates from $159-$499 a night down to $12-$59 a night. Marriott says the hack cost them more than $50,000 before they caught on to the updated room rates.

  Unfortunately for the hacker, the room rate changes were made from his home IP address, allowing authorities to tie the updates to his New York City apartment.
