Answering this question starts with looking at the transfer partners each program has (they’re all different), which partners provide the most value, and also how flexible each currency is when you want to use your points directly against a paid ticket or hotel night rather than redeeming for a free flight or free hotel award night.

Chase About To Pass American Express, Become Third Largest Travel Agency Behind Expedia, Booking.com
Chase travel did $8 billion in sales in 2022 with 40% growth in number of customers purchasing travel through their portal. They have had public goals to hit $10 billion in sales this year and $15 billion in sales by 2025.
Chase Travel believes they’ll pass American Express and become the third largest travel agency within two years. Last year they were less than 8% behind.
The Forbidden Fruit Of Rewards Cards: Everyone Wants It, But There’s Only One Way To Get It Now
Competition in the rewards credit card market has gotten so intense that I believe the Sapphire Reserve card – the ‘it’ product when it was introduced just six years ago – has become passé. It was the most rewarding in the marketplace, and now merely a good card that I think has been surpassed in its rewards-earning.
But what if that card threw in a full United Club membership at no extra cost?

30% Bonus On Chase Transfers To British Airways, Iberia, And Aer Lingus
With the American Express Membership Rewards 30% transfer bonus to British Airways ending August 31, Chase is picking up the mantle. NEW: 20% Transfer Bonus From Chase To Air Canada Aeroplan
Chase is offering a 20% bonus on transfers from Ultimate Rewards to Air Canada Aeroplan through July 31, 2023.
United Airlines And Chase Handing Out Bonus Miles To Encourage “Everyone To Fly With Pride”
I think this is great. If this is something you want to support, you can earn more miles doing so. And if it’s not, you can ignore the offer. Of course in 2023 it’s not so simple.
Chase Becoming 3rd Largest Online Travel Agency To Rival Expedia, Booking.com
Chase has been planning ‘the new Chase Travel’ for some time. They even promised it would launch last year. The idea is to bring together all of the disparate assets, from booking to dining to advice, in order to become a force in lifestyle that competes with the biggest players in the space. This is supposed to appeal to affluent customers who will be stickier with Chase’s banking services, and help them grab a greater share of investable assets and card spend.
They provided some data on where they are and where they’re going as part of the bank’s investor day.
