American Airlines Flight Attendant: Water in Business Class Is A Privilege, Not A Right

Aug 20 2023

An American Airlines flight attendant took to social media because she wants premium cabin customers to know that they are not entitled to a bottle of water. Traditionally you’ll find a bottle of water at your seat when flying long haul in business class. Alaska Airlines gives you one at your seat domestically. But if you ask for one, that’s at the discretion of the crewmember on American – and this one wants you to know that it is a privilege and not a right.

Flight Attendants Hate Passengers Who Are Traveling Standby

Aug 17 2023

One of the major complaints I see from flight attendants (and other employees, but mostly flight attendants) is that standby passengers make it difficult for them to fly free as nonrevs. All they see if passengers filling up a flight as a standby, ahead of them on the list to get onto a flight. They do not ‘see’ the flight the passenger comes off of, freeing up more seats for nonrevs.

Flight Attendant Raps Her Announcements While Passengers Cheer

Aug 11 2023

If there’s one thing that differentiates Southwest Airlines from other carriers, besides bundling checked bags into the fare and not assigning seats prior to boarding, it’s that their employees don’t seem to hate their jobs. This comes out most clearly on board with flight attendant hijinks, whether it’s hiding inside of overhead bins, making crowns for passengers out of snacks, or offering a creative twist on safety announcements.

A United Airlines flight attendant parent-shamed business class passengers on a delayed Delhi – Newark flight, after their special needs three year old woke up nine hours into the journey. The crewmember chastised the passengers for their lack of parenting when the boy was hungry (United didn’t board his child meal) and the mother had to improvise for food and tend to the kid at the same time.

Angry American Airlines Passenger Road Rages Against Flight Attendant

Jul 26 2023

American Airlines flight attendant Elizabeth Braley shared an incident that happened on her way home after an international trip. A red sedan cut her off on the road several times. The driver seemed to be “trying to run [her] off the road.” The crewmember tried to avoid the sedan, to get out of the way, and to otherwise flee to safety. But, she says, the driver kept at it.

Finally the sedan pulls up next to the flight attendant’s car and yells insults at American Airlines and throws things at her. She “almost wrecked” multiple times.

Delta Flight Attendants Save Passenger’s Honeymoon, Retrieving A Passport And Delivering It To San Juan

Jul 14 2023

Two Delta passengers, one with the lowest level of status (Silver), were heading off on their honeymoon. They were flying Detroit to San Juan back in February where they’d pick up a cruise the following day. But right after their flight took off, the bride realized she left her passport at home. That would mean no cruise, since it would head to international destinations and she wouldn’t be permitted to board. There was no way to get the passport in time, they thought.

Flight Attendant Forced To Delay Cancer Treatment Until American Airlines Will Approve Medical Leave

Jul 01 2023

A Philadelphia-based American Airlines flight attendant named Jace was diagnosed with testicular cancer less than a year into his job. While his doctors wanted him to get surgery and chemotherapy right away, taking the full time off for treatment might mean losing his job.

According to the flight attendants union at American, he “shared his diagnosis with his manager [who told him] he didn’t qualify for FMLA” back in December when this happened.
