Police Stormed Room of United Pilot, Accusing Him of Waving Naked at TSA From His Window
A United Airlines pilot has been charged with indecent exposure for standing naked in front of his window at the Denver airport Westin during his run for President of the airline’s pilots union.
He admits he stood naked in front of his window but denies he did so waving at TSA and doing other stuff.
Heartbreaking: Woman Shipped 80 Year Old Father to Denver With His Dog And No One to Care For Him But United
We hope not to be burdens on our children. Many people would choose not to let themselves reach the point where they don’t know who they are and can’t function independently. But we try to extend lives, and the burdens on families and on society for costs, are significant.
So we wind up with people sent to the airport, where the best we can hope for is a compassionate United Airlines employee to see that they’re taken care of.
American Airlines Finally Plans to Fix Their ‘Concept D’ Business Class Seats
When American Airlines rolled out their ‘Concept D’ business class seat with the Boeing 787-8 and on some Boeing 777-200s there were several problems.
One is that the dividers between the center seats would break. Instead of fixing them American simply locked them in place in the ‘up’ position — and then ordered their new business seats without dividers at all.
Gate Agent Used Rebooking Trick to Save Money for Over 100 Customers, Now Faces Prison
A JetBlue gate agent had people book the cheapest flight available — usually Long Beach to Las Vegas — and then rebooked those passengers for more expensive international travel.
She did this 505 times for more than 100 people between July 1, 2016 and Sept. 27, 2017, treating the customers as though they had missed flights “or experienced a death in the family.” The agent was arrested on Thursday and charged with wire fraud in federal court.
American Airlines Executive VP Flew United, Complains About Lack of Predeparture Beverage
American Airlines has shared with employees that there are two key drivers of premium customer satisfaction: serving a predeparture beverage and addressing a passenger by name.
American’s Executive Vice President of People, Communications, and Public Affairs flew United in first class. And she wrote a trip report on twitter…
One Man Just Flew His 20 Millionth Mile on United
I first wrote about Tom Stuker in 2009, and then again in 2011 when he crossed 10 million miles flown on United.
In 2009 he was flying 700,000 miles per year. By 2016 he had doubled that pace. And he’s only sped up.
United Tells Employees They’re Cutting Service Levels in Business Class (You Thought It Couldn’t Get Worse)
Starting February 1 business class entrees will be plated in advance in order to reduce flight attendant workload and allow them to reduce flight attendant staffing in the cabin by one position.
Where any of their competitors fly with fewer flight attendants, United will too. The goal, apparently, is to offer the lowest levels of service among peers American and Delta. And that’s not just limited to business class, Boeing 757 international routes lose a flight attendant in coach too.
New Flight Restrictions Announced For Accessing United Clubs
In the least surprising move in the history of earth United announced that the are going to require a same day boarding pass for travel on United, another Star Alliance airline, or “a contracted partner” in order to access their clubs.
United no longer needed to treat its customers better, since competitors won’t. As with Delta and American, United’s lounge access is really sold on a subscription basis rather than being a ‘club membership’.
United’s CEO Says Higher Airfares are Good For You (You Just “Don’t Understand”)
The President of United Airlines thinks airfares should be twice as expensive as they are today. United’s CEO Oscar Munoz takes things a step further: paying United Airlines more is good for you.
His argument is that more money for the airline means more money to invest in the product. You as the customer benefit even if you “don’t always understand.” He has things exactly backwards.
