The New Disney Frozen-Themed Boeing 737 is Awesome Both Inside and Out

Canadian airline WestJet has a new Frozen-themed Boeing 737 featuring Anna, Elsa and Olaf. With the airline headquartered in Calgary, that seems somehow appropriate.

Here’s a closer look at the detail involved. The aircraft’s tail (apparently, this is a little outside my area to independently interpret..) shows Anna and Elsa ‘celebrating sisterhood and the magic of snow.’

The paint job took 21 days of 12 hour shifts with six painters working on the plane 24 hours a day throughout. They used 23 different colors of paint including five for the umbrella alone. And they added sparkles.

The interior of the plane moves from cold to warm, back to front, mimicking the outside of the aircraft. The warmth has Olaf enjoying a summer beach day.

Here’s the plane as it is being painted:

  1. How many posts do you churn out every day? 6? 7? 8? How many of those are original posts? Maybe 1? Right here is an idea. Keep that 1 and forget about the rest, It fills up BA with other original posts

  2. @Johnny33 how many comments have you written on this blog? How many of those have been nasty, versus actually contributed some kind of knowledge to your fellow frequent flyers? Just went back at the last 7 and they were all snide. And yet I seem to be doing something that keeps you coming back, so I guess I’m doing something right. Thanks for reading!

  3. WestJet is such a cool airline! Ha,ha! Earning AA or DL miles with WestJet is a little tricky though.

  4. @JohnB you can add your AA or DL frequent flier number with any WestJet agent at the check in counter or gate. It’s pretty quick and easy.
