News and notes from around the interweb:
- The Reverse Psychology Seating Method For Southwest Airlines. If you welcome someone to sit by you, they may think you’re creepy and leave the middle seat open.
@oconnorfamilylaw We were told it’s a full flight. Doing our best to keep that seat open. Lol
- I feel seen. Before we had a daughter I made my wife do a single Star Alliance first class award that squeezed in 5 different airline products… I once made her take 5 segments to get from DC to Phuket, with two hotel overnights enroute, because there were new cabin products I wanted to try…
- Is it rude to place your coat in an aircraft’s overhead bin? Sorry, there’s nothing wrong with placing coats in an overhead bin. Just put them on top of other bags, or around bags once the bins are full. Place them in last and there’s no issue at all.
@hillnpoo Are we wrong for thinking jackets in the overhead is a crime? #airlinetiktok #airplaneetiquette #hillnpootravel2 #traveltiktok ♬ ceilings – Sped Up Version – Lizzy McAlpine - 500 Lufthansa miles for downloading mobile app

- The first American hotels in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
That would only work for men. If a woman did it, some creepy guy would assume she was hitting on him and take the seat.
Bemused – was approving an expense report today – the Amex charge said “Hudson News” – I was wondering what they bought that was $39 – I knew its bad at the airport but still – clicked through and buried along the line item – “Decanted” the wine bar.
The charge was legit, they have a Per Diem – just have to show they spent it. but interesting that it was obscured in the Amex Statement – to me anyway.
