Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is offering up to 1000 bonus miles for online shopping through their portal through August 18. No registration is required

Alaska is also offering 1000 miles for each of three partner activities completed by September 30, and one of them is online shopping. (HT: Doctor of Credit) Registration is required.

Register for the partner bonus, shop through the Alaska Airlines portal through August 18th and $350 spend for products you’d buy anyway earns 2000 bonus miles or an extra 5.7 miles per dollar. There’s 2000 more miles you can earn as well.

And oh by the way there’s a new member bonus for Mileage Plan Dining as well. Through August 31 they’re offering 1000 bonus miles when you spend a minimum of $30 at a participating restaurant in the first 30 days from enrollment.

So register for Mileage Plan Dining this month and spend $30 within 30 days at a participating restaurant for 2000 bonus miles.

United by the way has a 3000 mile signup bonus for dining, just create a different account and link different credit cards and you can do both (or American’s, and Delta’s, and…).

Everyone should have an Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account. With the acquisition of Virgin America they’ve become a major player on the West Coast (and not just the Pacific Northwest). And they remain the most generous frequent flyer program in the U.S. with excellent partnerships, mostly reasonable award charts, and one mile earned per mile flown.

And their mileage expiration rules are slightly more generous than United’s or American’s at 24 months as well.

Online Shopping Bonus Terms and Conditions:
