News and notes from around the interweb:
- Hyatt Will Give You Points If Your Free Night Expires
I hate that the new World of Hyatt Free nights awarded on reaching the 30- and 60-night tiers expire after only 120 days, and that these free nights cannot be upgraded with top tier confirmed suite upgrades and that the nights do not count towards status. I’d gladly take 10,000 points over a category 4 free night with short expiry.

Woah!
That hotel points for a free night is an interesting thing – I was not going to be able to use my 30 night earned one before it expired and have gifted its use to a friend for this weekend.
10K is nice; I can generally get more than $150 value out of that many points and more often than not, well over $200 (YMMV).
What about if your annual free night from the Hyatt CC has expired? Mine expired a few days ago and we didn’t get to use it due to months of moving to Texas.
