I’d almost forgotten about the Intercontinental Jimbaran. Almost a decade ago that was the first hotel I stayed at in Bali, using the – at the time – unlimited selection of a free night at any IHG hotel. The hotel even bumped my wife and I into a suite just for having status from the credit card. It made for a nice first impression of Bali in the first of what was to be many trips.
