Up to 6000 Miles for New Alitalia Frequent Flyer Account

Alitalia has an offer for new account signups through March 30th.

You’ll receive 2000 miles just for signing up. (Miles post in April.)

You also receive 2000 miles for having your first account activity within three months of signup.

And 2000 more miles for flying Alitalia by April 30th. (Miles awarded the month following when they’re earned.)

I’ve flagged the strategic value of the Alitalia program in the past for some sweet spots in their award chart and the opportunity (uncommon among many non-North American programs) to use double miles for any seat. They are of course a US American Express Membership Rewards transfer partner.

  1. […] 2,000 Bonus Miles for Joining Alitalia: I’ve never flown Alitalia, but they are an American Express Membership Rewards partner with a few decent award options, so it’s worth creating an account to get a few miles to get you started in case you end up transferring MR points in the future.  Join by March 30 to claim your 2,000 bonus miles.  New members can also receive an additional 2,000 bonus miles for any partner activity (such as AmEx MR transfers) and another 2,000 miles for flying on Alitalia and crediting to your new account by April 30 for a total of up to 6,000 bonus miles.  HT: View from the Wing […]

  6. @Damon – my understanding is that rule means you cannot buy, gift, or transfer miles to get all the miles for an award — but you can transfer in points from American Express Membership Rewards, Amex is a ‘partner’
