- The Department of Justice is suing to block the American Airlines – JetBlue partnership because somehow American will strangle JetBlue and the latter will no longer offer leisure fares. In fact, it is JetBlue that’s growing in New York, taking slots from American which will have fewer flights (albeit more seats on larger aircraft).
