  1. Just booked 4 award seats in coach on Delta SNA-LGA for the thanksgiving weekend. It cost us 190K miles (2X45K plus 2X50K) and around $145 all in. While AA wanted 340K miles plus around $200 for the same itinerary.

So, as far as I am concerned, Delta is as American as apple pie … or pumpkin pie 😉

  2. Actually Air Canada is not forced to do heavy maintenance in Canada because it is Canadian, but because it is Air Canada. When AC was privatized part of the deal was keeping certain work in certain locations. Shareholders at the IPO bought into the company knowing this. AC tried to get around the law and failed.

    No sympathy.

They also could have asked for the law to be changed and have not. Heck, the last government may have been open to it. But they didn’t.

    No sympathy.

  3. Seems that Accor link goes to a page that says the sale is from Nov 11-13. When I tried to put in my Accor number, it said that I had the wrong credentials. Too bad, since I need lodging in both SIN and HKG during the sale period.

  4. Tried to book the Accor offer….gave me the same prices as before the sale. Accor telephone support says “it’s an internet promotion and we can do nothing to assist you”.

    Waste of time….
