Transatlantic discounter Wow Air is selling Newark to Tel Aviv from $149 each way, $298 roundtrip, all-in including taxes. That’s an amazing price for New York – Israel. Search for dates here. Travel is available October through March excluding peak Winter holidays.
Wow Air, like Norwegian, is driving down the price of flights between the U.S. and Europe. Bear in mind though that as an ultra low cost carrier there are plenty of fees. You can travel on the base fare, but you’ll get whatever seat is available and you will only travel with a carry on. Pre-assigned seats start at $8.99 per flight if that’s important to you.
During the booking process they will also sell you full-sized carry on bags and checked bags at a lower price than at the airport.
Of course with major US airlines offering their lowest fares (domestically, though eventually spreading to international routes) without pre-assigned seats or full-sized carry ons the difference between Wow Air and United and American is rapidly shrinking. And the pricing just can’t be beat!

So, are you going to review WOW for us readers? 😛
This price isn’t very “Wow” when you factor in the horrific schedule and high fees for normal stuff, like a regular carry-on bag. It’s a bit like buying a $300 base fare to Israel on Spirit Airlines, with a 10-hour layover in route. Yes, the base fare may be low, but there’s no real value here.
