Major Hotel Chain First Quarter Promotion Roundup

Mommy Points summarizes the new Priority Club promo for the first quarter.

Priority Club will award double hotel points or airline miles for every stay after the second qualifying stay at participating InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn Club Vacations hotels worldwide during the promotional period that runs from 1/23/2012 – 4/30/2012. If your first qualifying stay is at a Staybridge Suites or Candlewood Suites, then you earn double points beginning with your first stay.

Registration is required.

So this is in addition to the first quarter stay X, earn Y bonuses, which is good, Priority Club needs to give out lots of points since they’re devaluing on January 18 (although ‘in the know’ members will still be able to call to ask for previous award pricing for two months).

Meanwhile, Hilton’s first quarter offer is 1000 points per night plus 5000 points per two-night weekend stay, Starwood is offering double points on two night stays and triple points on stays of three nights or longer and registration is now open. Finally, Loyalty Traveler outlines the return of Marriott MegaBonus free night (up to category 4) for every two stays, capped at earning two free nights total.

We still don’t know why Hyatt Gold Passport will be up to, though they’re the program that’s historically been least tied to calendar quarters in their promotions. Still, I’d love to see them bring out their wares sooner than later. They are, after all, a sponsor of the Oneworld Mega DO and I’d love to see those Hyatt stays rack up additional earning!

  1. Amen wanting a Hyatt promo before the MegaDo (though I am sure we’re not that lucky) Almost feel like I am at a craps table “come on Hyatt, lucky promo Hyatt, no sevens…….”
