Southwest Airlines Gate Agent Requires Passengers to Sing Before Asking a Question

Last Sunday a Southwest Airlines gate agent in New Orleans announced to passegners at gate B7 that if they wanted to ask a question they’d first have to sing a song.

One man had a question, so he broke into the 1997 Grammy-winning “No Diggity” by Blackstreet.

Other passengers in the gate area even join in with the chorus, “I like the way you work it.”

“No diggity” “means ‘absolutely’ or ‘for sure'” and the song’s “lyrics are a suggestive prelude to sex.”

The New Orleans paper, The Times-Picayun, calls it a good reminder that “waiting in the airport can actually sometimes be a very good experience.”

  4. Thank you so much for the singing question video…right now we NEED TO LAUGH. ALWAYS TRAVEL SOUTHWEST..LOVE U LOVE SEE YOU END OF OCTOBER.

  5. How come people would protest and cause a riot if this would be another carrier, especially one of the low cost carriers(Spirit or Frontier), but because it is Southwest, people think it is great? It irritates me that everything that Southwest does is GOLDEN and when the other carriers do these things, people cry “Bloody Murder”. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is great. But I wish people would stop playing favorites and let all the carriers have a little fun.
