Cathay Pacific First Class Passengers Get Access to American Flagship First Dining in New York

This raises an interesting question, it’s clearly possible for American to negotiate such arrangements where they (1) offer Flagship Dining, (2) are in the same terminal as a oneworld partner which offers an international first class product, (3) which doesn’t have its own lounge.

It will be interest to see whether British Airways and Qantas will arrange access in Dallas once the First Dining facility opens there, for instance.

Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants Challenged These Passengers to an Inflight Toilet Paper Race

On July 20 Southwest Airlines flight attendants challenged passengers to a toilet paper race inflight from Raleigh to Denver.

The two sides of the plane were pitted against each other “for a chance to be the first to deplane” — presumably most of the passengers not realizing one side of the plane simply doesn’t deplane before the entire other side.

Airline Wants Airports to Crack Down On Alcohol Sales — So They Can Sell You More Inflight

Ryanair has called for airports to crack down on selling alcohol to drunk passengers. They want to ban sale of alcohol before 10 a.m. and to limit the number of drinks that can be sold to a passenger.

Notice that they don’t want to stop selling alcohol themselves and in fact by preventing people from boozing it up before flight, they’ve got customers more likely to want to buy from the airline.
