Yesterday I wrote that Delta is adding surcharges to business class tickets for their new Airbus A350 product. Their new business class has doors. So it’s expected to be a better product, and they’re going to charge more for customers who want to fly it.

The 3 Best Innovations At the Airport to Skip Lines and Earn Miles
One of the things I love about having moved to Austin three years ago is the airport. It’s got the smell of barbecue, even if I don’t think Salt Lick Barbecue is very good — let alone the airport’s version. There’s often live music.
But there are three areas where they’re ‘cutting edge’ for me.
Cathay Pacific First Class Passengers Get Access to American Flagship First Dining in New York
This raises an interesting question, it’s clearly possible for American to negotiate such arrangements where they (1) offer Flagship Dining, (2) are in the same terminal as a oneworld partner which offers an international first class product, (3) which doesn’t have its own lounge.

Airline Wants Airports to Crack Down On Alcohol Sales — So They Can Sell You More Inflight
Ryanair has called for airports to crack down on selling alcohol to drunk passengers. They want to ban sale of alcohol before 10 a.m. and to limit the number of drinks that can be sold to a passenger.
Notice that they don’t want to stop selling alcohol themselves and in fact by preventing people from boozing it up before flight, they’ve got customers more likely to want to buy from the airline.
Proposing Marriage at Airport Security
A man is considering proposing marriage at airport security and he asks the internet for advice. It wouldn’t even be the first time this has happened.
